Mastering the Art of Networking
None Scheduled

Overview
Networking is considered an essential skill for influencing others and achieving results. However, many people only network when they are forced to do it. Technical professionals, many of whom are introverted in temperament can be very successful in networking when they learn a few essential tools. In this hands-on seminar, participants will learn ways of increasing their confidence and competence in creating and building relationships in their business and in life.
We will use demos and plenty of practice in a comfortable atmosphere. Some of the skills we review, such as replacing small talk with “substance talk”, learning and teaching names and elevator speeches are small changes that can make a big difference. Connections and resources will be shared in the room “real time.”

Agenda
Learn how to…
  • Know their purpose and plan for networking opportunities
  • Understand their “offers” and “needs”
  • Answer the question “So what do you do?”
  • Understand how to add social networking tools into their strategy
