2. CareerSTRATEGY: Putting Your Job Search Strategy into Action
During the CareerSTRATEGY step, you and your MATRIX Associate will develop and implement your search strategy for finding the right position. Your MATRIX Associate will help in every phase of your job search—but remember, you are ultimately in control of your own search process.

Your MATRIX Associates help you investigate opportunities through a wide variety of methods, including their one-on-one relationships with a variety of clients and our robust database that you can access through our online search engine. On top of that there are some aspects of your search that you very much control. They are:
  • Developing a Winning Resume: In the job search process, a well-written, well-designed resume is a must. It provides your MATRIX Associate and potential employers with a snapshot of your education, technical background, and work experience, greatly enhancing your marketability. Begin crafting an effective technical resume (229k pdf download) to sell your skills.
  • Proper Management of Your Search from Start to Finish: It is important that you are an active participant in your job search. We provide a present worksheet (14k pdf download) for your use in tracking the positions and companies that you and your resume have been presented to. Also, learn how the Internet can help you research the companies and industries you’ll be interviewing with.
