As a corporate sponsor, MATRIX recently helped the Atlanta HSCC team successfully compete in the 22nd annual BDPA High School Computer Competition. Given all the disasters that happened in the past year, the students were required to develop a disaster relief contribution system. The system not only allowed donors to contribute, it allowed charities to receive reports on the contributions that have been made. Well done students.

MATRIX recently helped 30 computer science majors at Clark Atlanta and Morehouse Universities in Atlanta get a head start on finding their ideal career paths. Partnering with organizations RightPathing Your Future and Sage Software, MATRIX helped sponsor a weekend workshop dedicated to helping these rising seniors complete extensive career profile assessments. With eyes newly opened to all the potentials of working in technology, these future leaders are now better equipped to capitalize on their strengths in the working world. 
Recently MATRIX Atlanta hosted 20 Junior Achievement Job Shadow students from Dekalb County’s Cedar Grove High School who were very eager for an up-close view of the “real world” of work. MATRIX Mentors from across the company volunteered their time to show them the ropes. Instructor Daarina Abdul-Mateen said, “The students were greatly moved in all aspects....it’s a first for many of them, not just job shadowing but actually seeing a company from the inside. Your employees really made a great difference in the lives of these students through their interactions, caring attitude and willingness to share their lives with them.”

MAP is our primary avenue for building our diversity supplier relationships. We provide all of our suppliers an equal opportunity to receive and review job openings, and submit candidates online. The power and the multipliers of our alliances prove to be very successful for all involved parties.
MATRIX recruits for diversity candidates within an overall recruiting process to provide a diverse workforce. Externally, applicant generating initiatives to meet minority goals include print and online diversity publications, and job postings that appear on 30 "minority" job sites via our relationship with a leading diversity online job board.
