 | Women in Technology Names MATRIX Resources
One of the “Best Employers in Georgia”
ATLANTA (October 29, 2004) – Women in Technology (WIT) named MATRIX Resources, Inc., one of the 2004 WIT’s Best Employers in Georgia, citing the company’s employee job share and other work-life balance programs.
A total of four companies received awards – The Weather Channel, EarthLink and Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., in addition to MATRIX.
“MATRIX should be commended for their work-life balance strategy – their job share program is a best practice that others should emulate,” said WIT President Kasie Scott Palmer, Strategist for Computer Associates Southeast Partner Advocacy organization. “By honoring those companies that support the advancement of women in their technology careers, WIT hopes to aid both women searching for those employers, as well as employers seeking to enhance the role of women in their companies.”
Achieving recognition for practicing positive corporate values is not new to MATRIX. In February, MATRIX was presented the Turknett Leadership Character Award for the company’s outstanding corporate culture of integrity, respect, accountability and commitment to excellence. Also, the Atlanta Business Chronicle in September named MATRIX one of “The Best Places to Work in Atlanta,” based on an anonymous survey of employee attitudes. Atlanta magazine in its June 2004 issue recognized MATRIX as one of Atlanta’s “Best Places to Work,” for promoting a culture of work-life balance.
