Question:
Why are some companies reluctant to embrace e-procurement?
FTL-Finance
Answer:
Despite this common perception, what we have found is that many companies have eagerly embraced the e-procurement process. Office supplies, travel arrangements, and a host of other products and services are typically purchased through the Web. The first generation of e-procurement purchases has been more product oriented. As e-procurement matures, business-to-business e-procurement of services is rapidly expanding, and services such as legal, financial research, and talent acquisition are proliferating online. Beginning with the dot-com boom, candidates have become more accustomed to applying for positions online. Vendor Management Systems have improved as well to support this movement, and have greatly enhanced the functionality of early generation job boards and data exchanges.
Hope this helps. Thanks for asking.
