Benefits are maximized when adherence to the VMS/MSP process is maintained throughout the enterprise. Usually this requires commitment from senior executives to champion the selection and implementation of the system, as there is some degree of required change management, additional training, and acceptance of new procedures. Typically, Finance, HR, IT/Engineering, and Purchasing/Procurement are involved in the decision making process because these departments are most often impacted. Often, the role of a Managed Services Provider is to identify, coordinate, and analyze the specific needs of each of these stakeholders and present solutions that highlight the benefits for each of those disciplines.
