Gary Wood
Gary Wood, MATRIX Vice President of Sales, possesses three decades experience covering all aspects of the IT services and IT staffing industries. He has achieved significant success in developing long-term business partnerships with large corporate clients. In addition, Gary is a recognized expert in programs that better manage the use of large contingent workforces, especially with regards to Vendor Management Systems (VMS) implementations and programs.

Embracing the concept of a single point of contact relationship, Gary’s ongoing mission is to provide coordinated relationships with our clients, providing all services that MATRIX offers. He is spearheading the merging of the Professional Services and Staffing Solutions sales organizations with the goal of being the high value partner for MATRIX clients.

Gary’s understanding of the industry is quite unique – combining extensive knowledge of IT staffing and services along with delivery processes and customer service excellence. In his early days with MATRIX, Gary managed large staffing accounts focused on the contract staffing area. He served as Director of the MATRIX IT Contract Services group, responsible for large account teams and the support of managers assigned to those accounts. He has also led the implementation of nine Managed Services programs, using industry leading VMS platforms. He supervises customer relationship teams that understand why customers implement a VMS, and how to best work within those environments as a staffing company.

In his 18 years prior to MATRIX, Gary held various sales management positions in the computer hardware, services, software, and professional services sectors. His experience is focused on the financial, telecommunications, health care and general commercial businesses.
